I wanted to bring this up as a discussion because its something I haven't really thought about for a while until I saw a recent tweet/article. Is planned obsolescence a growing issue? Best Practices & General IT.Hi all,I have a user whose mailbox is used for sending customer invoices, so their sent items folder fills up every few months because of attached PDF's.I can't seem to find any way to create the rule where this user is the sender and the rule is to kick.

The installer installed the basic AMD drivers and then pulled updates from AMD giving me the same AMD drivers as I had downloaded originally.

Then I went to HP's driver site and downloaded their AMD firepro drivers for the z400 workstation. So I tried this, but when Windows saw the card it only recognized it as a standard VGA card even after a reboot.

I did a quick SW search and saw a question from Jan 2013 where a guy had a similar problem, and according to the post, he got it working by uninstalling the AMD software and drivers and letting Windows pull down the driver. I can use both display port or DVI with 1 display port or the other but not all 3. When I logged into Windows (as a domain admin), Windows and the AMD software can see the 3rd monitor, but it simply won't display on all 3 monitors at once. While the computer boots up, the BIOS and Windows splash screen shows up on both the diplay port to DVI monitors. I grabbed the latest drivers from AMD and installed the card. It shows up in the Settings > Display screen as a tiny square and when I try extending to that display I. However, I'm having an issue with the 4 monitor displaying anything. I know it works with 4 monitors because we have the same computers in the office.

The Firepro has 1 DVI port and 2 display ports, and it came with 1 display port to DVI adapter (according to Newegg it is an active adapter but according to a post on an AMD forum, it ships with a passive adapter) so I purchased a second display port to DVI adapter (Newegg didn't say if it was active or passive). Hey guys, As the title says, I have a AMD Firepro W4100 graphics card on a W10 computer. I was asked to try to stay under $400 per card, so I got the AMD Firepro v4900 specifically because the datasheet said it supported 3 monitors. So for the user which has 2 monitors, I bought an nVidia Quadros K600 and it seems to working ok. The other user has 3 monitors (all DVI input).

They both have the same computer (HP z400 workstation with Xenon processor, 10 GB RAM, and 1 TB HDD running Win 7 pro 64bit). Google shows a lot with Eyefinity and DP to "other" adapters, but running DP all the way, should rule that out?Īnd at last, I've not yet tried running 2 or 3 DP cables and the daisychain the monitors, that must be the next step, but I thought the W4100 should be able to run 4 monitors with 4 DP cables.I was asked to research a replacement video card for our 2 CAD users. I'm going mad I dont know what to do anymore! Was the W4100 cards a wrong choice?

I've tried with Windows 7 and Windows 10, and tried with all 3 computers (we are going to use Windows 10 in the end), different versions of AMD drivers/software. The monitors are all shown in device manager, but I cant extend the desktop to the 4 monitor. Tried with different monitors, same results.Ĥ Dell miniDP to DP adapters, DP cables (7m high quality), 4 monitors worked for a day, with many start/shutdowns, suddenly only 3 monitors are working. We have troubles connecting 4 monitors, we have tried:Ĥ Dell miniDP to HDMI adapters, HDMI cables (10m high quality with built in amplifier), sometimes all 4 monitors work, sometimes 2 or 3. They are going to be used as clients for alarm handling software on a firestation. We have 3 brand new Dell computers with AMD Firepro W4100 cards and 12 brand new Dell U2417H monitors.
